Overview

This CPD seminar focuses on the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA), a statutory body  that regulates the property management services in Hong Kong. It is part of a series of CPD seminars that use Hong Kong case studies to provide relevance to and support development of technical competencies. This seminar is particularly suitable for Property Management Managers, Building Maintenance Surveyors, FM Managers, Chartered Surveyors and students who want to enrich their knowledge regarding the regulatory framework of property management services in Hong Kong .

The seminar will also be useful for Probationer Members in the BS or GP Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) who wish to enrich their knowledge of property management services regulation in Hong Kong.

Speaker Details

 

Hon Tony Tse BBS, JP, FHKIS  

Member of the Legislative Council for Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape (Hong Kong)

Hon Tony Tse BBS graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic before joining the Hong Kong Civil Service and working in the Crown Lands & Survey Office (Now the Lands Department). After 12 years, Tse moved into the commercial sector, including with Hongkong Land, Chesterton Petty, Emperor International Holdings, and Henderson Land. He also founded a property development and asset management consultancy, Brand Star. Tse has held various public positions, including on the Urban Renewal Authority, Town Planning Board, Land and Building Advisory Committee, Municipal Services Appeals Board, Disciplinary Board Panel (Land Survey Ordinance) and Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was also the Chairman of the Real Estate Services Training Board of the Vocational Training Council and Chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board 2002-03. He was the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) 2003-04. From 2012 to 2014 he was the President of the Hong Kong Professional and Senior Executives Association.

CPD certificate

Proof of attendance will be issued upon request.

A personal certificate confirming your 1.5 hours of CPD will be issued to you following the seminar. Your certificate will display the “first name” “second name” you entered at registration.

Cancellation policy

UCEM Online Academy recognises that a change in circumstances can sometimes be unavoidable and that delegates who register for a scheduled event may need to withdraw or change their original registration.

If you are unable to attend this scheduled CPD course you are booked on, you may request to substitute another person to attend in your place provided you notify us in writing at academy@ucem.ac.uk at least five working days before the event.

Refunds are calculated as follows upon receipt of the written request to academy@ucem.ac.uk

·         More than 28 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 20% of the fees due.

·         28-14 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 50% of the fees due.

·         Less than 14 days before the start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 100% of the fees due.

In the unlikely event of UCEM Online Academy withdrawing a course, all course fees paid will be refunded, however UCEM Online Academy will not be liable for any other costs or losses incurred.
