Practical Workshop for Valuation Practitioners

This professional competence face to face workshop is particularly suitable for practitioners and students in valuation, land administration, property development, investment, agency or related fields. The workshop will provide a refresher on valuation methods and will highlight the common weaknesses of commercial and residential real estate candidates when going forward for professional assessment. 

Speaker

Mr William Chan MRICS, MHKIS, Member of AAPM, RPS, MBA, BSc, DipProjMan(RICS), PgD, Prof Dip

William Chan has over 25 years of real estate experience in development, investment, acquisition, land administration and valuation. He has worked for the Hong Kong SAR Government, reputable property developers and consultancy firms. When working in a well-known property developers in Mainland China, William was mainly focused on the international property market. He handles both the property development sites and investment properties. The investment property portfolio concerned was comprised of commercial and office developments. He is particularly familiar with Hong Kong and Macao markets and has extensive experiences in valuation of various types of properties under different market situations. William also has more than 10 years of experience in delivering professional training at various educational and professional institutions in Hong Kong and Macao.

Mr Chan, a UCEM Alumni, is a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and Associação da Avaliação da Propriedade de Macau. He is also a Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice Division) in Hong Kong.  In addition, he has been serving as the Chairman / Assessor in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), RICS & HKIS.

Cancellation policy

UCEM Online Academy recognises that a change in circumstances can sometimes be unavoidable and that delegates who register for a scheduled event may need to withdraw or change their original registration.

If you are unable to attend this scheduled CPD course you are booked on, you may request to substitute another person to attend in your place provided you notify us in writing at academy@ucem.ac.uk at least five working days before the event.

Refunds are calculated as follows upon receipt of the written request to academy@ucem.ac.uk

·         More than 28 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 20% of the fees due.

·         28-14 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 50% of the fees due.

·         Less than 14 days before the start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 100% of the fees due.

In the unlikely event of UCEM Online Academy withdrawing a course, all course fees paid will be refunded, however UCEM Online Academy will not be liable for any other costs or losses incurred.
