Aims

This course provides users with an introduction to drones, what they are and how they can be used within the Built Environment. It explains the aviation bodies responsible for regulating the use of drones in the UK, as well as the qualifications required to pilot a drone safely. The course will examine the use of drones within the construction industry and explores their potential for developing detailed photographic images and 3D mapping.

“Drones in the workplace” is relevant for those who wish to keep up-to-date with the latest technological developments in surveying and mapping such as Construction Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, Project Managers, Site Surveyors and Maintenance Managers.

Providing an overview on the use of drones and how to use them safely, this course will also be suitable for Real Estate professionals such as Estate Agents, Property Agents, and those involved in photographic marketing.

  2. Regulatory bodies
  3. Operations manual
  4. Photography and photogrammetry

The course concludes with a summary and links to further study.
