Guest speaker

Sr Kwok Siu-Wing, Patrick  BSc (Hons) MSc PgDip FRICS FHKIS MHKIE FHKICM FASI FCIOB F.PFM FIOB FIIM

Patrick has been engaged in the Quantity Surveying industry for over 40 years. During that time he has worked for many reputable corporations and organisations including the MTR (Mass Transit Railway Corporation ) Hong Kong. He obtained his MSc in Construction Project Management, Hong Kong University, the BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, University of Reading, UK.

Patrick is Fellow Member of the RICS, the HKIS, the HKICM, the Hong Kong Institute of Building, the Institute  of International Management , the Hong Kong Institute of Facilities Management, the CIOB, the Architecture & Surveying Institute and a Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE).

Throughout his working life, Patrick has been involved in the teaching of young professionals who have a view to become Chartered Surveyors. He has been a  part time-Lecturer for HKCT, VTC, U of Central Lancashire, Baptist U, Heriot Watt U, Edith Cowan U, CUHK, and HKU SPACE. Focussing on the supervision of postgraduate dissertation students and those undertaking final year project. He currently works for the Construction Industry Council (CIC)  as Lecturer in QS programmes and as a Mentor for UCEM. Patrick has also served as an assessor for the HKIS, RICS, CIOB and the HKIE .

All seminars and workshops will be delivered in English supplemented with Cantonese for local terms.

Cancellation policy

UCEM Online Academy recognises that a change in circumstances can sometimes be unavoidable and that delegates who register for a classroom based course may need to withdraw or change their original registration. 

If you are unable to attend the classroom based course you are booked on, you may request to substitute another person to attend in your place provided you notify us in writing at academy@ucem.ac.uk at least five working days before the event. 

Refunds are calculated as follows upon receipt of the written request to academy@ucem.ac.uk. 

  • More than 28 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 20% of the fees due. 
  • 28-14 days before the course start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 50% of the fees due. 
  • Less than 14 days before the start date: UCEM Online Academy will retain 100% of the fees due. 

In the unlikely event of UCEM Online Academy withdrawing a course, all course fees paid will be refunded, however UCEM Online Academy will not be liable for any other costs or losses incurred.
